Gray Snyder (b. 2001) is an interdisciplinary, Midwestern artist born in Illinois and based in Detroit, MI. Their work explores grief and memory, intergenerational stories of identity, and the use of objects and rituals as catalysts for healing and transformation. Snyder works primarily with installation, sculpture, and video. Their current work utilizes entropic materials like wax and living biomatter as metaphor and effigies for otherwise absent bodies.
