Lamp, 2022
Rust dyed muslin, interfacing, polyfill, projector, video
I initially began this project with the intention of creating a large lamp that effectively could be sit on. I later revised this idea to create a large fiber version of my desk lamp that could serve as an actual lamp, by the inclusion of a projector. The large scale of the piece allows me to arrange it in a number of ways, with each different position activating the space in a different manner. The addition of the light serves to explore the boundaries between art and craft and add an element of humor to the piece.
